Tangu strives to provide excellent counseling and treatment services to all impacted by alcoholism and/or other drug addictions, marital & pre-marital counseling, individual, relationship, family and couple's issues.

 

Program Description Schedule
Alcohol/Drug Evaluation Consist of a face-to-face interview with an Admissions Counselor or Intake Specialist.


Walk-Ins: 
Mon - Fri
10am to 2pm


Saturday:
by appointment.
 

Up to 2-hour evaluation with a counselor.
 

Substance Abuse
Our education program focus on substance abuse prevention awareness, sobering living skills, stress / anger management, conflict resolution skills, coping with peer pressure, introduction to 12-step support groups and much more.
 
Saturdays:  9:00am – 12:00pm

Thurs: 
5:00pm – 8:00pm
 

Meet 2x or 1x  week
3-hours per week
up to 17 weeks

Intensive Outpatient [IOP]
Some lectures covered will be from Level I lecture series.  Clients are divided into groups and discuss such topics as coping skills.  There are also group therapy sessions where clients may process their feelings and explore solutions for their problems.
 
Mon, Tues, Thurs & Sat.
Day & evening classes available

Meet 4x weekly = 12 hours minimum weekly
Defensive Driving 6 to 8 hour class for one day. Call for next available class
Health and Wellness Program
The Medical Doctor and Nurse on staff help clients in this program manage and maintain medication, eating habits and exercising.  Clients can attend health workshops, learning circles and study groups.

Re-Employment Program
Gives clients a jumpstart or assistance in re-entering the workforce. It targets the transitional clients in Tangu's transitional housing program and intensive outpatient clients who are seeking employment.
 
Client is enrolled in the transitional housing or intensive outpatient programs.
GED Prep / Tutor Program
Assist clients who want to receive their GED in finding the school appropriate for them to continue their education.
 
Client is enrolled in the transitional housing or intensive outpatient programs.
STRIVE Mentoring Program
The client's gateway to Full Recovery.  The mentor or buddy program is to ensure and help prevent individuals from relapsing within a few days or weeks entering and leaving the transitional housing and intensive outpatient programs.
 
Client is enrolled in the transitional housing or intensive outpatient programs.
